Dances of Unversal Peace

The dances were created and shared in the 1960’s to create peace through the arts. The mother of the dances, Murshid Samuel Lewis said if we could eat, dance, and pray together we could find peace among the different religions. After studying the dances for four years, I have learned respect and affection for different religious traditions through these simple, joyful practices. Each dance is taught for beginners with no expertise required, only an open heart. Led by Rebecca Nunley. |
